This site was created as a resource to allow makeup enthusiasts and artists to compare beauty product "swatches" side by side for comparison purposes. This page features photos of my entire blush and highlighter collection, which includes a variety of shades from several different cosmetics brands, including Becca, Cargo, Chanel, Nars, Pout and Sue Devitt. 	Extra care was taken to ensure that the lighting was as uniform as possible in all photos for accurate comparisons. I used a Nikon D40 camera (using no flash) and an improvised light box with a 100-watt GE Reveal bulb (designed to make colors appear truer than a regular incandescent bulb, which emits yellow rays). A picture of my homemade "photo studio" is shown at the left in case anyone's curious. All swatches were made using cotton swabs on freshly moisturized skin (to help the pigments adhere). Blush swatches will show two strips of the color, one concentrated and one sheer (but still not as sheer as one would wear on the face, I hope!). For reference, the skin tone pictured is equivalent to MAC NC30 (medium, neutral to warm toned).
