This site was created as a resource to allow makeup enthusiasts and artists to compare beauty product "swatches" side by side for comparison purposes. This page is still in progress, but eventually will feature photos of my entire lipgloss collection, including shades from Benefit, Cargo, Chanel, L'oreal, MAC, Nars, Prescriptives, Smashbox, Stila and Sugar. 	Extra care was taken to ensure that the lighting was as uniform as possible in all photos for accurate comparisons. I used a Nikon D40 camera (using no flash) and an improvised light box with a 100-watt GE Reveal bulb (designed to make colors appear truer than a regular incandescent bulb, which emits yellow rays). A picture of my homemade "photo studio" is shown at the left in case anyone's curious. Lipgloss swatches will show two strips of the color, one thick and one sheer. For reference, the skin tone pictured is equivalent to MAC NC30 (medium, neutral to warm toned).
